Write documents and screenplays in one place
Document mode is a word processor for letters, essays and reports. Screenwriting mode is a script editor with proper screenplay layout. Both can ask Create AI for a draft or a rewrite, and both export files you can take anywhere.
Document mode
A page-based editor with paragraph styles, tables, links, find and replace, rulers and page sizes. Download your work as a Word file (.docx) or plain text (.txt), or print it to a PDF.
Screenwriting mode
Scene headings, action, character, dialogue and the other script elements are laid out the way a screenplay should be, with page counts, scene numbers, dual dialogue, notes and colored revisions. Your scripts are listed in My scripts so you can open, rename, duplicate or delete them.
Final Draft files in and out
Import a Final Draft file (.fdx) to keep working on a script you started elsewhere. Export your script as an .fdx file, or as a PDF in standard screenplay format on US Letter, with a title page.
Create AI helps when you ask
Ask for a draft, a scene or a rewrite and choose how long the reply may be: Short, Draft, Scene or script, or Long script, which is up to about 18,000 words. The credits for the length you pick are shown before you send.

- Scripts you write in Screenwriting mode are saved in the browser on the device you use. A script can be up to 4 MB, and an .fdx import can be up to 8 MB.
- Importing reads the script text and structure from an .fdx file. Check the result before you rely on it.
- One Create AI reply can be at most about 18,000 words, so write a long script in parts.
- Novel and Game modes are Demo previews with sample content. They are not finished tools.
