Dictation with the mic button

Dictation types what you say. It is for writing a prompt by speaking instead of typing. It needs a paid plan and a browser that supports speech recognition.

Click the mic button next to a prompt box, speak, then click it again (it turns into a stop button while it listens). Your words appear in the box at the cursor, and you can edit them before you send.

On a computer you can also hold the Right Control key, speak, and let go. The words are typed into the box you are in.

Dictation uses your browser's own speech recognition, so it does not use credits. It is different from voice mode, which talks back and does use credits.

If you do not see the mic button, your plan may not include it or your browser does not support it. Try a recent version of Chrome, Edge or Safari, and allow the microphone when asked.
